動物在時裝界實在佔了舉足輕重的地位，先說以動物或寵物作為配角，牠們雖然像道具的角色，但卻搶了不少戲份。因為每種動物都有着不同的角色，於是在照片内帶出點題的作用，最常用的例子，非狗和豹莫屬。
在時裝廣告上，經常把寵物放諸模特兒身上像裝飾品一般，盡顯奢華感覺。不過筆者並不在鼓吹動物毛單品，為了保護動物們，布料研究技術上都致力以纖維來模仿真毛的質感，動物們仍然是最佳的陪襯品。
近年更有綽頭的是用動物來當代言人，例如瑞典品牌ACNE studios 於2013 春夏季(上圖)找來兩隻德國品種Weimaraner 狗來當廣告主角，由知名攝影師William Wegman 操刀。最近更有《America's Top Dog Model》的狗模特比賽，模特兒們的飯碗恐怕不保，時裝界出現動物們爭飯吃的現象，有趣不有趣？
