<p>二戰前，年輕的多紀離鄉別井去到東京市郊一間小屋打工，侍候女主人時子一家，但卻發現時子背著丈夫跟僱員板倉發展婚外情......<br><br>60 年後，年老的多紀在外甥健史的鼓勵下，把她一生的故事和東京小屋的回憶一一寫下來。<br><br>數年後，多紀離世，健史在她的遺物中發現一封未開封的陳年舊信，緩緩揭開埋藏於多紀心內逾半個世紀的秘密......</p>
